John M. P. Babb, K.C.
John M. P. Babb attended Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador, where he graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Political Science, with a minor in Business, along with a Certificate in Criminology. He earned his Law Degree at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton and was soon after admitted to the Newfoundland Bar in 1986. Mr. Babb has experience working as a legal researcher for the Chief Coroner of New Brunswick and he articled with Chalker and Co. After his admission to the Newfoundland and Labrador Bar, Mr. Babb began working in private practice, appearing in all levels of court in Newfoundland and Labrador before becoming the Avalon Regional Crown Attorney in 1986. Mr. Babb re-entered private practice in 1988 and in 1989 opened his own private practice in Carbonear, Conception Bay North, where he continues to practice law with extensive expertise and experience in personal injury and accident law and a wide variety of other civil litigation matters, commercial and residential real estate and mortgages, fishing enterprises, wills and estates, corporate and commercial law, criminal law, administrative law and family law.
Jessica Babb, B.A., J.D
Jessica Margaret Babb, B.A., J.D. Jessica Babb was educated at King's Edgehill School in Windsor, Nova Scotia, before attending Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador, where she graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, major in Political Science and minor English, as well as a Certificate in Criminology. Ms. Babb then studied at The University of New Brunswick where she earned a Juris Doctor Law Degree and was admitted to the Newfoundland Bar in 2013. Ms. Babb worked as a student with the Provincial Crown Attorney's Office in St. John's in 2008 and 2009 and articled at Babb Law Office. Upon admission to the Newfoundland and Labrador Bar, Ms. Babb joined her father as a Barrister, Solicitor and Notary Public to continue on with his tradition of excellence in legal representation since 1986. Ms. Babb is actively involved in and takes great pride in her community. Ms. Babb offers 24-hour assistance for legal emergencies and offers a full range of legal services, including personal injury and other civil litigation matters, real estate/ property law, wills and estates, commercial, corporate, family & criminal law.
